The Computing Basics series uses content from the Carpentries project to teach basic computing skills to interested members of the Broad community. The Carpentries mission is to teach foundational computational and data science skills to researchers.
Who: This session is open to all Broadies interested in learning basic computational skills. You don't need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
Where: 415 Main St Rm 2040 (Monadnock), Cambridge MA. Get directions with OpenStreetMap or Google Maps.

Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.) that they have administrative privileges on. They may need to have a few specific software packages installed (see below).
